Confidentiality Agreement

Confidentiality is a critical to the success of a mentor/mentee relationship. Trust must be a verb before it is a noun. We must all trust and be trustworthy to be trusted. It is one of the most, if not the most, important factors in a mentor/mentee relationship. During the mentoring meetings you may decide to share information about one another throughout your discussions. Each of you must be very clear on the limits that you want in place on the information that is shared. Establishing clear boundaries is critical. Confidentiality enables the mentor/mentee to speak freely and without fear that the information discussed might somehow become known to others.
