Advisory Board
The inaugural Advisory Board for the Canadian Mentor Network is a small group made up of diverse backgrounds. The advisory board fulfill a number of functions on behalf of the organization, including providing strategic direction and leadership based upon their experience, providing drive to take action, and collaborating with the President in order to fulfill our mission.

Dr. Brad Isaak
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Brad Isaak has been a registered psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists since 1997. He completed his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba in the 1990’s. He is a trained EMDR therapist and trained LENS Neurofeedback Provider.
Most of Brad’s work has been with individual adults and couples. Over the years, he has developed a broad range of experience, working in hospitals, the prison system, nursing homes and, primarily, in private practice in Calgary. He has also worked with
first-responders and veterans and is a contracted provider for both Veterans Affairs and WCB. In addition to psychotherapy, he has conducted numerous psycho-educational workshops and is trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
Brad’s clinical practice integrates EMDR Therapy with LENS Neurofeedback and other trauma-informed approaches.

Paul Speerin
Advisory Board Member
Paul Speerin is a seasoned Senior Executive with a passion for learning, professional development, and mentoring. Paul’s career has spanned between Operations Management and Human Resources. He is a certified HR professional with CPHR and SHRM-SCP designations. Currently Paul works in the retail industry and holds the position of Vice President overseeing Western Canada consisting of 160 locations. Paul has been a mentor to many individuals over his career and brings a wealth of leadership development knowledge to CMN. He is known for his ability to develop talent and coach high performing teams. In his spare time Paul loves to be outdoors spending time with family and friends biking and hiking.

Mark Schofield
Advisory Board Member
Mark Schofield is an entrepreneur and 12-year sales and management professional. Mark’s business experience includes managing a multi-million-dollar oil and gas services branch, managing a commercial services start-up business and providing strategic growth and sales to established construction and manufacturing companies in Calgary and Vancouver. Mark also serves as the COO for Lighthouse Voyage, a not-for-profit organization that partners with local Indian organizations to rescue women and children that are sexually exploited. Mark and his wife Kristin are parents to Benjamin and can be found exploring new places, having friends and family over for dinner or enjoying a warm cup of coffee together.
Mark is a big believer in mentorship and has had different levels of mentors for the last 15 years. “Mentorship has greatly impacted my life. It’s given me confidence to step out and achieve my goals, helped me learn tools to live a balanced life and created life long friends and confidants. I think every millennial should seek and experience intentional mentorship if they’re serious about being the best they can be.”
